Berner Panti Quispe
I’m Berner Panti Quispe, photographer, printmaker and painter born in Cusco, Perù and raised in Genova, Italy. Currently living in Berlin after years living in cities like Barcelona, Milan and Lisbon. I am especialized in Platinum-Palladium printing and gilding, combining nobel materials and ancient techniques to obtain archival fine art prints and paintings. I evolved into this type of visual artist after a long experimental research of stability. My artistic development goes hand to hand with my personal development and my migration background. I experimented with many different image-making processes, from charcoal and graphite, the most rudimental tools, to gold and platinum, the most stable of the elements.
My art represents a natural rejection of inmediacy and obsolescence, in a world rushing for instant glory and gratification. The plecious nature of the materials helps to define a deep respect for those things made to last and can’t be copied. Every print is the result of a methodical slow process, every piece is unique, as for this type of art do not allow identical reproduction.
